LANDSIDE

From outside arrivals there are good views of the stored Air Zimbabwe aircraft. It may be possible to see 1 or 2 stands but that’s it. Didn’t go into departures but doubt theres any views until landside.

 

AIRSIDE

I didn’t depart out of here so not sure. Previous reports suggest there are decent views of the runway and military area.

 

HOTELS

None at the airport. Bronte Hotel in downtown Harare is very nice.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Air Zimbabwe don’t appear to be operating any of there aircraft and there are no domestic flights in Zimbabwe.

 

Parked in a compound next to the hangers:

Z-WPB and WPC B737's

Z-WPD B146

Z-WPJ and WPL MA60's

 

B737 parked on the ramp assumed to be Z-WPA

 

Seen on the road leading into the airport:

ZS-SDX B146 All White Parked by the hangers

M-YWAT A320 no titles parked by the hangers

 

B727 in compound on other side of runway assumed to be N4610 from reports

 

Request - AN12 WFU and looking in poor condition behind the B727

 

Several DC3’s are reportedly stored near the B727 and maybe seen from Airside
