LANDSIDE

No views seen from within the terminal. From outside some stuff could be seen parked around the domestic terminal.

 

If you have a car London Avenue provides excellent views of all movements, especially the smaller runway used by all GA aircraft and Air Fijis ATRs and DHC6s.

 

AIRSIDE

International Terminal had some views of the international stands and also the hanger which had a couple of DHC6s inside. However no views of domestic gates and only limited views of the runway.

 

HOTELS

There are a couple of hotels close by but hard to say how good the views would be.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Air Fijis ATRS and DHC6s would be the main attraction. They do operate some services between other domestic routes so check timetables for best times to see them.

 

If you collect GA then you can expect quite a few movements and maybe twenty to thirty aircraft parked around the GA area.

 

Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia have regular flights and Air Vanuatu operated a weekly ATR72 at the time.
