St Denis – Aug 2013

 

LANDSIDE

An excellent open air viewing area allows most stands to be seen along with good views of the runway. A couple of Bars / cafes are located inside.

 

AIRSIDE

Decent window views but not as good as the viewing area.

 

HOTELS

The airport is located close to the capital St Denis.  Aircraft approach over the sea adjacent to the city so it may be possible to find a hotel with a view.

 

We stayed in St Gilles about 40 minutes away which I highly recommend if your having a holiday here. St Denis is not for tourists.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Air Austral fleet is easily seen and Air Mauritius send there ATR’s in here. Other than that a few occasional flights from neighbouring countries.
