LANDSIDE

Didn’t have time to explore that much. Next to terminal 2 is a storage area with some Yak40’s a T134, B146’s and Let 410’s. From here its possible to walk to terminal 1 and beyond but not sure what views are like. Cargo, government and Biz park down past terminal 1 and may not be visible from terminal 2. Judgeing from photo’s there are spots on the perimeter but you would need a car or local help.

 

AIRSIDE

Terminal 2 has good window views and should allow most things to be logged. On the other side of the runway is the military ramp with various AN26’s Let 410’s and Casa along with some other stored aircraft, mainly MD80’s. Some of these should be seen. Long term resident T134 LZ-TUZ is also there.

 

Terminal 1 is used for low fares and not sure what views would be like.

 

HOTELS

Ibis - Ask for an odd numbered room high up, you should see all the proceedings at Terminal 1 and the biz/government ramp

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Very quiet and not really worth spending any time at. Worth the visit for the stored and military aircraft but these are gradually dwindling based on reports from a few years back.
